Last Sunday we had an international potluck event at the church after main service. It was a free event with one condition: bring some food. Japan is a great place to have a potluck because the Japanese ladies can cook! ...at least the ones at our church can. In the weeks before, we all had been inviting our students to come, and those who were able to come really enjoyed it. We have some Korean students visiting us from the Philippines who added to the "international"-ness of our dinner. They also cooked some great food too. I highly recommend planning a potluck for any group of people who are particularly skilled at cooking. ^_^
Pastor also gave a brief message, which I didn't understand (because it wasn't translated), but our guests seemed to be moved by it. And the kids did a dance that my roommates had been working on with them. And they showed a video that Beth made of the whole dance. It was great! The video was cool and funny. And the moms were surprised and delighted to see their kids on the projector screen.
